The gear of the mill is made in high-tech ceramic. A clean, inactive, natural material that is ideal for grinding salt, spices and dried herbs.

When a spice or herb is dried it stores the essential oils that carry flavour and scent, grind it up and you release those wonderful properties into your cooking.

When the same ingredients are stored as a powder (pre-milled), the oils weaken, eventually evaporating, so you are left with less taste & nutritional benefit.
