Position 1 - Sales Assistant
Part time, permanent position - 14hrs per week (approx 10 - 5, Thurs/ Sat or Fri/ Sat work pattern, to be decided/ discussed with applicant)

Alice in Scandiland is a well-established, independent destination retailer of over 6 years, based both on the high street and online. We pride ourselves on the excellent customer care and shopping experience we are known for. The Role -
The successful applicant will be in a public-facing, key-holder position.
Responsibilities will inc, but are not limited to –
Daily opening/ closing of the shop, customer care, cash handling, POS system use, processing/ e-commerce online order fulfilment (Shopify), stock management, visual merchandising, unloading/ processing large deliveries, carrying stock up to workrooms (3rd floor & attic).
Experience in these areas is desirable, but training will be given.
An interest and knowledge of the Alice in Scandiland style is key. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to keep up with a fast-paced work environment are vital.
There is definitely scope for the advertised role to develop further, with an increase in hours/ movement into a senior position, using any additional skills brought to the job, please outline these in the application.
As we are a small team, all staff are expected to cover increased hours during peak times, such as Christmas. All additional shifts will be agreed in advance. Occasional extra support is needed, during special events, again, this is discussed in advance.
Role 2 - Saturday Sales Assistant (10 - 5)
7hrs per week
Similar expectations as Role 1, but prior experience is not as essential. The applicant must demonstrate their ability and willingness to learn and adapt quickly.
This position would be suitable for someone looking for less hours, to complement their studies during the week, or perhaps a creative person, wanting some guaranteed hours, to work alongside their main passion.
